Who am I? (in order of what I consider important)

I am a wife, I married a guy I met my senior year of high school when I was visiting the college I would later choose to attend. This year (2007) marks us being together for a decade.

I am a sister and a daughter, but have not intension of becoming a mom. I have a younger sister and brother and am lucky to have wonderful parents who I love.

I am an artist/crafter. I love to draw and am learning how to paint with watercolor gouche. I am also really into photography (and I do weddings if you are looking for great photographs at a budget price!). I also sew, crochet, knit, make jewelry and have dabbled in ceramics, enameling, glass bead making, welding, and other such things.

I am a traveler, I love exploring new places! I have been in 5 continents in a span of one year. So far, my been there list includes 48 of the 50 states (including Alaska and Hawaii, haven't been to North Dakota or Alabama though many states I've only driven through), Canada, Mexico, Aruba, Bahamas, St. Martin, St. Thomas, Peurto Rico, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Ecuador, Austria, England, France, Madagascar. I'm hoping to grow that list a bit each year.

I am an outdoors person, I love being outside, though mostly if the weather is nice. I shy away from the cold, the windy, and the rain. I love hiking and climbing mountains. I do some rock climbing but I'm not great at it. I've been backpacking a few times. I also love horseback riding and take lessons once a week. I'm also very into fitness and run and bike outside whenever it is nice. I also have a fair sized garden and try to grow tomatoes and a few herbs over the summer. I keep trying my hand at orchids, but I wouldn't say I've become successful at that yet.

I am a health fanatic (sort-of). It comes with being a medical student I guess. (see below) I'm really into staying healthy. I don't smoke and never have even tried any kind of smoking. I also don't drink alcohol but that's partially because I'm allergic, a little alcohol is by no means unhealthy (but it is caloric!!!). I work out very regularly and am very weight conscious. I also try to eat well. However, I'm not big into supplements besides your usual multi-vitamin, nor am I a body builder or anything like that. I have run two marathons though.

I am a MSTP student at Case Western Reserve University, currently in the fifth year of the program (average is 8 for completion). I'm working on a PhD in Neuroscience where I'm studying the eletrophysiology of the olfactory tubercle. (notice how that's at the end)

I am an investor. I'm really into personal finance. I've been keeping detailed records of my finances since I started college, I suppose it helps to have a mom who's a CPA (also a MBA and a PhD in Biology) and had me working as an assistant to an accountant through college. I read a lot on the subject. I also invest in stocks, both individual and in mutual funds or ETFs. I have recently started expanding to real estate investing. (I hope to be able to move this "I am" to above student soon.) I am also really happy to teach other people and help anyone who is willing to learn. Don't hesitate to ask!!!
